Texas Roadhouse

It all began on February 17, 1993, when Kent Taylor opened the first Texas Roadhouse in Clarksville, Indiana.  Kent’s goal was to own not just a family restaurant and not just a steak restaurant, but a place where everyone, of all ages, could come and have a great meal and great fun for a great price.

We like to brag about our Hand-Cut Steaks, Fall-Off-The-Bone Ribs, Made-From-Scratch Sides, and Fresh-Baked Bread. Everything we do goes into making our hearty meals stand out. We handcraft almost everything we serve. We provide larger portions so you get more food for your dollar. And if you want an Ice Cold Beer or Legendary Margarita to wash it all down — well, we have those, too.

Our food’s not the only thing that’s Legendary at the Roadhouse — our fun is too! From our line dancers to our jukebox to our friendly servers, you’ll enjoy every second you spend in a Texas Roadhouse.

At Texas Roadhouse our team has an incredible sense of pride in everything we do. Our passion ensures you have a Legendary Experience every time.  Because of our passion for our guests and our communities, our team members are involved outside the restaurants in their local communities as a way to give back.

The Texas Roadhouse story is simple. Legendary Food, Legendary Service® — all with lots of Legendary Fun!

Utah Food Bank: Fighting Hunger Statewide

Founded in 1904, Utah Food Bank has operated under various names but has always remained true to our mission of Fighting Hunger Statewide. 417,000 Utahns, which equates to 1 in 7 Utahns, are at risk of missing a meal today. Even more alarming is that 1 in 5 Utah kids are unsure where their next meal is coming from.

With your support last year, we distributed 38.1 million pounds of food, the equivalent of 31.8 million meals, to people facing hunger across the state.

The story behind the name

The IKEA name combines the initials of IKEA founder, Ingvar Kamprad, (IK) with the first letters from the names of the farm and village where he grew up
- Elmtaryd and Agunnaryd (EA). The IKEA logo has hardly changed during the company’s history and the 1967 version remains a consistent symbol of the IKEA business.

Together we save money

IKEA customers play an important role. We at IKEA do our part by packaging the products smartly. And you do your part, assembling the products. Together we not only save money, but it also means easier transport for you and less trucks on the road for our environment.
In 1956, IKEA co-worker Gillis Lundgren had trouble fitting the LÖVET table in his car. This was the moment when the idea of flat-pack was born. Today LÖVET is back at IKEA, now named LÖVBACKEN. A lovely little table with a story. See the LÖVBACKEN side table.
